It's My Birthday...

.....and I'm having a lovely day. My very dear friends from Sydney woke me with a tuneful rendition of 'Happy Birthday to you' then we chatted for most of the morning, aren't phone cards fab. Amanda is a fellow Etsy seller and had just been to her first Etsy meeting in a favourite little cafe of mine in Glebe, Sydney, I was very jealous, a: because she got to meet lots of like minded people and b: because they do the best cakes and peppermint tea!
Then just after we finished chatting these arrived from her & her gorgeous hubby



they smell divine and look so pretty on the beautiful table cloth my mum & dad bought me from Italy.





Then another friend phoned from Spain and it got me to thinking.....Russ and I have only been back in the UK for a few months after traveling & working abroad for a couple of years. I celebrated my birthday this time last year in the incredibly cool city of Melbourne


and the year before in Phuket.

North London doesn't seem quite so glamorous compared, but tonight I get to go to my local pub with a few of my closest friends & I think that's what its all about really.
