I LOVE this time of year.... my favourite colours, clothes & smells all inspired me to draw my first 'Happy Thanksgiving' illustrations which is available here & here & comes with 8 autumnal Boo tags.
I've had 2 gorgeous autumnal weekends away... 2 nights in the Lake District with my mum, dad & Swiss auntie, eating, walking & market shopping.
& a LONG over due trip back to Paris with Russ.
I studied there for 3 glorious months when I was at art college & it was fun to check out my old haunts. This is where I lived, I remember sitting on the balcony (that I have circled) one morning drinking my coffee thinking I was the luckiest girl in the world.
Opposite the house is this beautiful park
& this is a painting I did at the time !
I also painted these buildings...
& it was definitely in Paris that my love of drawing children started. I would sit in the parks sketching & painting for hours.
One of the best things about being a student in Paris was I had a pass to get into all the galleries for free, I used to pop in & out of the Louvre, Musee d'Orsay etc daily it was an incredible opportunity, an amazing 3 months.
Russ and I decided we wouldn't mind giving up our life in London & living on this boat on the Seine for a while !!!!!!!
